Our story

Growing up with goldens is a huge blessing. Anyone who’s known and loved them understand just how much they can enrich a families life. For us, It all started with Jennifer’s Grandmother. Grandma Henny had a golden retriever named Dino (as in Dean Martin, famous Rat Packer). Dino was the benchmark golden for her Dad and was always held in high esteem. Later on, her father Jerry would bring goldens into her family (Dutch and TG). As a young girl, she knew the breed well.

After starting a family of her own, she knew that one day she wanted goldens in the home again but it wasn’t until after her family walked through a significant health battle that they realized the dream of having goldens around once more.

Inspired by Love

In 2019, Jennifer and Mark’s son Evan walked through a cancer battle and during his treatments they would bring therapy goldens in to the hospital to snuggle. We vividly remember how amazing “Becky” the therapy golden loved on our son. So when Evan wished for his own golden after treatments were over, Mark and Jenn happily obliged.

Blessed with a gift

Shortly after Evan finished his treatments there was an opportunity to get a golden retriever for Evan. Our wonderful friends Chris and Christy were breeding them at the time and they had a litter available. They heard about Evan’s story and his desire for a dog and made us a very kind offer on one. We happily agreed. There was one thing about the dogs they bred. They were Field Goldens and were a little different than your standard variant. We learned about them and felt they would fit us well. In early 2020, we came home with “Judah”.

Field Goldens

Judah was an energetic boy that needed training and focus. After our family relocated to our new home we began training our new dog to do what he was born for, Retrieving! As Judah progressed in training the pack kept growing. We now have four Golden Retrievers and two specifically working in the breeding program.
